These courses will be of interest to all those interested in organizing and running cross country ski races and will be of particular interest to those previous Level I & Level II officials who attended their courses more than five years ago as they must now recertify to remain current. Learning-to-Train (L2T) Dryland Coaching Course, Dec 10-11, 2011

We've scheduled a Learning-to-Train (L2T) Dryland course for December 10-11, 2011 in Corner Brook. Mark Tierney will be the learning facilitator.

This is the first of two courses for the L2T certification level. On-snow courses will be offered in the winter.

The L2T Dryland workshop is the third step in the NCCP progression.  Coaches are taught about developmental age, physical literacy, team building, athletic components (aerobic, fitness, speed, etc.), nutrition, how to design their own sport program, adventure-based activities (year-round), *skate rollerskiing and planning a practice.

* at the L2T stage - coaches must attempt rollerskiing; but do not need to be proficient to pass. By the T2T (training-to-train) stage, they need to be technically proficient.

The cost is 80$ per participant.

Please bring, appropriate outdoor clothing, skate rollerskis, poles, and boots; and a helmet. If you do not have rollerskis, we can arrange some loaners.
