Great Labrador Loppet

Close to 150 skiers took part in the 36th Great Labrador Loppet on Saturday, March 26th. The trail was groomed to perfection and a great job of patrolling by the RNC and Whitewolf. The temp was about -12'C with a gusty wind, conditions were'nt bad overall, only two skier dnf'd.

Besides local people from Labrador West, we had visiting skiers from Quebec, the Labrador Coast, Corner Brook, Stephenville, Grandfalls/Winsor, Clarenville & St. John's.

Youth awards were at the Whitewolf club in the afternoon and the evening was finished off in fine style with a gala banquet at the Smokey Mountain Ski Club .

Another very enjoyable Loppet for the history books.
